Online Training Example

2332 RCACC (Ottawa) is undertaking online training, while cadet units cannot parade their local units. Here is an example of an excellent resource that can be used at other cadet units.

Note: Cisco Webex is currently offering free video conference accounts for up to 100 participants for as long as you require it during the current pandemic. Webex is used by the Government of Canada for video conferences services.

I have attached a couple of the resources we are using to now engage our senior cadets in the on-line instruction process.  The attached presentation outlines the program and its key pillars for delivery through (potentially) the end of the year.  The Training Update PDF is the first of a bi-weekly document that we will be sending with updates on our platform, resources, and plans.  The focus of the first was just the announcement of what we are doing and how to connect.  Future documents will include links to activities, new instructions as we expand our technology base, and critical announcements as they are released.  The focus of our team this week is building a guide for the senior cadets on how to prepare an interactive lecture when teaching on-line.  It will be used for my officer and volunteer staff as well, mostly because this is new to the majority of our community.  Once I have that I will ensure you get a copy as well in case it may be of interest to other league members or units.  Everything is now focussing through our website (http://www.2332cadets.ca/) so if there is anything else you would like, you can probably find it there.
